श्री हित हरिवंश महाप्रभु
Divine Descension of Prem Bhakti

Shri Hit Harivansh Mahaprabhu is the divine incarnation of Shri Krishna’s transcendental bliss (Prem-Ras), who appeared on earth to reveal the eternal path of Rasopasana — the worship of Shri Radha-Krishna’s divine love.
He manifested in Baad Graam (Vrindavan) in Vikram Samvat 1530 (1473 AD) on the auspicious day of Yogini Ekadashi. Shri Hit Ji was born to a devout Vaishnav family and later became the founder of the Radha Vallabh Sampradaya, a bhakti tradition centered on exclusive devotion to Shri Radha.
Mission and Teachings
Shri Hit Ji emphasized “Radha naam mahima” — the glories of Shri Radha’s name, and introduced the purest form of Bhakti, centered on madhurya rasa (sweet, intimate love).
His path is not based on rituals or logic, but on the deep experience of divine love. He taught that the supreme goal of human life is Rasopasana, and that Shri Radha is the ultimate refuge (Purna Aashray Swaroop).
Literary Contributions
Shri Hit Ji composed many divine verses and hymns glorifying Shri Radha’s divine form, love, and pastimes. His most famous work is:
-
“Hit Chaurasi” – 84 verses of divine love (Ras-filled poetry)
These writings are soaked in prema-bhakti and are sung daily by devotees in temples and homes across Vrindavan and beyond.
Legacy
The temple of Shri Radha Vallabh Lal in Vrindavan, established by Shri Hit Ji, continues to be a living center of divine Rasopasana. His lineage and followers carry forward the unbroken tradition of Radha Bhakti, guiding seekers to experience Radha Krishna’s divine love.
